Alpines
Alpines are a variety of wild flower, traditionally growing in the high mountainous regions of the world. Compared to other herbaceous shrubs they are small, although very beautiful. In a domestic garden these small slow growing plants can quickly become lost. They are more easily managed in troughs and rockeries.
Alpines suit well drained stony soils. Many gardens in and around Chesham are on slopes. A rockery or alpine garden is ideal. Alpines are available all year in two sizes.
Examples of the Alpines we stock are Helianthums, Phlox, Erodium and Saxifgraga.
