History of Chessmount Nurseries

Chessmount Nurseries was started by Reg Mason after he returned from the Far East where he was held as a prisoner of war by the Japenese. It has gradually developed since1946. Verity and John took over the nursery in 1980 and under the guidance of Reg Mason have focused on developing the range and diversity of plants available.
